Hawaii was my second home for many years.
Not only I had a vacation home in Kona on the Big Island for 18 years, my parents used to spend their winters in Honolulu, so I visited Oahu many times, too. I have been to Maui and Kauai once each. Various things happened personally and it became difficult to spend a lot of time there, so I ended up selling the property to a Mrs. Alaska (yes, I did!), and I haven't been back to Hawaii since 2013. But I have so many memories if the islands and I long to go back.
Each island is so different and has beauty of its own. While I was there, I tried to learn the culture and practiced Ukulele pretending to be a Kamaaina (local Hawaiian). Hawaii's sceneries and its colors inspired my creativity and I have done a lot of Hawaiian illustrations.
Here are some of those artwork.
